La principale mission du Conseiller principal en Investissement est de dispenser des conseils judicieux à notre clientèle. À titre de personne-ressource d’un groupe de clients institutionnels et privés, il sera responsable de passer en revue les compositions d’actif et les politiques de placement, d’expliquer les décisions relatives au portefeuille et de discuter des perspectives de placement de la société.

Le Conseiller principal en Investissement entretiendra et renforcera les relations avec la clientèle existante, en plus de collaborer avec différents services pour améliorer les programmes de soutien de la clientèle et accroître la satisfaction et l’engagement des clients. La personne pourra aussi participer aux activités de développement des affaires de la firme.

Principales responsabilités :

Gestion des relations avec les clients

  • Agir comme personne-ressource fiable et établir des liens avec les clients qui lui sont confiés pour nouer des relations d’affaires solides;
  • Rester au fait de la stratégie de placement de la société, de ses perspectives économiques et de l’évolution des marchés des capitaux;
  • Communiquer régulièrement avec les clients actuels et potentiels ainsi qu’avec des intermédiaires pour leur faire part de la stratégie de placement de la société, de sa philosophie et de ses perspectives économiques ainsi que de l’évolution prévue des marchés des capitaux;
  • Passer en revue les politiques de placement et compositions d’actif et recommander des changements au besoin;
  • Tenir les clients au courant de l’évolution de leur portefeuille au moyen de documents, de courriels, d’appels téléphoniques et de présentations en personne;
  • Répondre aux demandes de renseignements des clients sur les titres qu’ils détiennent, la stratégie de placement de la société, ses prévisions économiques et d’autres questions touchant leur portefeuille;
  • Traiter et surveiller les opérations des clients en s’assurant de leur conformité;
  • Assurer la liaison avec des dépositaires, comptables, consultants et autres intervenants au nom des clients;
  • Examiner les comptes dans le cadre de l’obligation de connaître son client (CVC);
  • Contribuer à la croissance des revenus en développant un réseau de recommandations;
  • Rencontrer les nouveaux clients, satisfaire aux exigences CVC et évaluer leurs besoins de placement.

Développement des affaires

  • Contribuer à la croissance des revenus en développant un réseau de références;
  • Création de nouvelles occasions d'affaires pour bonifier et diversifier la clientèle de LetkoBrosseau;
  • Rencontrer de nouveaux clients, répondre aux exigences KYC et évaluer les besoins d'investissement.

Indicateurs de réussite à court et à long terme

Entre autres objectifs clés, à commencer par l'intégration et la progression au cours de la première année:

  • S’établir auprès des clients comme un conseiller en placement efficace et perspicace et un partenaire de confiance à long terme;
  • Être un ambassadeur des valeurs de LetkoBrosseau;
  • Développer des relations solides avec les clients existants et nouveaux;
  • À plus long terme, accroître la clientèle de LetkoBrosseau et de ses actifs sous gestion sur le marché;
  • Faciliter et soutenir le succès de l'équipe du service à la clientèle.

Profil recherché :

  • Diplôme universitaire en finance, en économie ou dans une discipline connexe (MBA/MSc, un atout);
  • Au moins trois ans d’expérience dans un poste similaire (gestionnaire de portefeuille, directeur des relations avec la clientèle, etc.);
  • Titre de CIM ou de CFA, un atout;
  • Satisfaire aux exigences d'inscription auprès des autorités canadiennes en valeurs mobilières à titre de représentant-conseil associé ou de représentant-conseil;
  • Capacité de s’exprimer en français et en anglais tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.

The primary focus of the Senior Investment Counsellor is to serve as our clients’ trusted advisor. He or she will be the primary point of contact for a group of institutional and private clients. The individual will be responsible for reviewing asset mixes and investment policies, explaining portfolio decisions and discussing the firm’s investment outlook.

The Senior Investment Counsellor will maintain and grow existing client relationships. Moreover, the individual will be working with different departments to improve customer support programs as well as customer satisfaction and engagement. The Senior Investment Counsellor will also participate in business development activities for the firm.

Main responsibilities:

Managing client relationships

  • Serve as a reliable point of contact and build rapport with assigned clients to establish strong business relationships;
  • Stay abreast of the firm’s investment strategy, its outlook on the economy and capital markets;
  • Regularly communicate with clients, prospects, and intermediaries in order to share the firm’s investment strategy, philosophy and outlook on the economy and capital markets;
  • Review investment policies and asset mixes and recommend changes if necessary;
  • Provide regular updates to clients on their portfolios’ progress via documents, emails, telephone and in-person presentations;
  • Answer client queries on their holdings, the firm’s investment strategy, economic outlook, or other matters affecting their portfolios;
  • Process and monitor client transactions, and ensure their compliance;
  • Liaise with custodians, accountants, consultants and other parties on behalf of clients;
  • Know your client (KYC) account review;
  • Contributed to LetkoBrosseau’s client service objectives through actionable business development plans;
  • Remain well versed in all relevant legal, regulatory, tax and compliance matters and ensure all internal and external compliance expectations are met;
  • Maintain awareness of all environmental, social and governance risks within portfolios.

Business development

  • Contribute to revenue growth by developing a network of referrals;
  • Created new business opportunities to enhanced and diversified LetkoBrosseau’s market client base;
  • Meet new clients, fulfill KYC requirements and assess investment needs.

Short and Long-Term Success Indicators

Among other key objectives, beginning with onboarding and progressing over the first year, the successful candidate will have:

  • Established themselves with clients as an effective and insightful investment advisor and a trustworthy long-term partner;
  • Exemplifies LetkoBrosseau’s values;
  • Developed strong relationships with existing and new clients;
  • On the longer term, increased LetkoBrosseau’s client base and assets under management within the market;
  • Facilitated and supported the success of the client service team;

Required profile:

  • University degree in Finance, Economics or a related discipline (MBA/MS, an asset);
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a similar position (Portfolio Manager, Client Relationship Manager, etc.);
  • CIM designation and/or CFA charterholder or level 2 candidates;
  • Meet the requirements to register with the Canadian securities authorities as associate advising representative or advising representative.

Ideal candidate qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills and experience in capital markets;
  • Impeccable client approach;
  • Ability to summarize research reports and to identify key ideas in the overall investment thesis;
  • High attention to detail;
  • Excellent oral communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge.
