Position Overview:

We're seeking a skilled Graphic Designer (Figma) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing visually captivating user interfaces for web applications, integrating applications through APIs and databases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features while maintaining and enhancing existing codebases. Responsibilities:

Generate creative concepts and designs for various projects, including branding, marketing materials, advertisements, websites, social media, mobile apps and more.

Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.

Design and deliver wireframes and mock UI screens optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces, following a responsive design approach.

Facilitate the product vision by researching, user-testing experiences, and understanding user motivation for better long-term execution of briefs.

Collaboratively work with the Developers and other team members to develop UX solutions.

Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.

Maintain file hygiene and follow processes that aid team collaboration and provide consistent outputs.

Attend meetings daily (standups, client meetings, project meetings, etc.).

Update daily time sheets, JIRA tickets, and any other required documentation.

Review and proofread designs to ensure accuracy and consistency in design elements, typography, and content.

Requirements:

  • English written and spoken skills.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required if English skills are good.
  • 4 or more years of UX design experience in an in-house corporate or agency role.
  • Expert level in Figma, with proficiency in designing websites and mobile apps.
  • Basic knowledge of responsive design principles.
  • Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently, intelligently, and quickly.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions.
  • Understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles and design thinking.
  • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices, including mobile-first and responsive design.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting and synthesize abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
  • Passion for resolving user pain points and openness to feedback and constructive criticism.
  • Passion for UX design and innovation, with a research-oriented mindset to stay updated with industry trends and technologies.
  • Intent to constantly learn, evolve, and drive change with the best interest of the User and Product in mind.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with pitching concepts to multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple design projects/user stories simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.

Compensation

  • 8,000 to 15,000 Indian Rupees per month
  • 1% of the project profitability (GP)
    • Example: 1% from the project GP. For example, if Pqxel makes $20,000 on a project in GP, you’ll be paid 1% of this as comission if delivered in time and paid in full. For this example, your payment will be $200 which translates to 12,000 INR paid towards this project.

Location

Though the job is primarily remote, employees would be required to attend any local company events if invited.

Expectations

Pqxel works on BYOD concepts and all licensing is assigned remotely and candidates are expected to use their personal devices until further notice.
