Your Opportunity

BDO Canada is seeking a dynamic, adaptable, and innovative Manager to be a vital part of our Expo Labs Innovation & Change team. This role, available across our Canadian locations, is a unique blend of strategy, technology, and leadership, aimed at driving transformation and fostering a culture of innovation within the firm.

Role Purpose and Objectives:

As a Manager in Innovation & Change, you will guide BDO Canada’s leaders in informed decision-making concerning technology adoption, driving change, and fostering a culture of innovation and digital transformation. Your role will involve:

  • Leading the planning and execution of innovation mandates, ensuring alignment with business priorities, industry trends, and technological advancements.
  • Promoting a deep understanding and integration of AI technologies and digital strategies, advancing the AI Quotient across the firm and its diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Developing and delivering potential innovation roadmaps, ensuring the relevance and alignment of emerging technologies with firm’s needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managed cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders, fostering collaboration and communication to drive project success, while leading and coordinating large-scale initiatives to ensure alignment with the firm’s strategic objectives.
  • Lead initiatives to integrate AI, generative AI, and other advanced technologies into the firm, driving the adoption of digital tools and strategies.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and develop comprehensive business cases for IT investments, focusing on costs, ROI, and strategic alignment with business priorities.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation, encouraging creative thinking, diverse perspectives and transformative ideas while maintaining BDO's core values: Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, understanding their industry, challenges, and opportunities, and delivering high-quality, professional service.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and balance multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a university degree in business management, information technology, or engineering.
  • Proven curiosity in AI, generative AI, and other innovative technologies, with a strong ability to conduct analysis, develop recommendations, and lead multiple projects.
  • Solid experience in consulting services (preferably within a consulting firm), technology consulting services, or a functional IT position, with exposure to leading technology platforms (e.g., ERP, CRM, Digital Experience Platforms, etc) and frameworks (e.g., PMI, SWOT, PESTLE, ADKAR, etc)
