About this opportunity:

The Senior Commercial Manager will lead a team in the management of existing commercial contracts and activities to maintain and grow Husky Midstream’s strategic partnerships in collaboration with the rest of the organization. This role is both external and internal facing and highly commercially focused. This is a high-profile role with engagement at all levels within the organization and requires strong attention to detail, the ability to deliver within tight timelines, and proven experience in ensuring the team provides clear and concise business cases for executive-level messaging.

What you’ll do:
  1. Enhance existing Strategic Partnerships:
    • Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
    • Developing KPIs
    • Working to grow business
    • Ensuring contract renewals
  2. Contract management:
    • Meeting internal SOX controls
    • Credit reporting
    • Implementing new business contracts/amendments into internal controls and reporting processes
  3. Grow existing business:
    • Lead bolt-on new projects such as new LACTS/new connections/volume growth
    • Managing projects within the existing Project Delivery Model
  4. Negotiate contracts:
    • Working with customers
    • Leading legal agreements
    • Informing and obtaining internal support
  5. Engagement with Operations:
    • Supporting asset management
    • Completing interconnection agreements
    • Supporting optimization projects
  6. Providing leadership to staff:
    • Training
    • Setting clear expectations
    • Providing guidance
    • Maintaining accountability
    • Creating development plans
  7. Corporate reporting:
    • Supporting shareholder reporting
    • Providing market reports
    • Budgeting
    • Development of long-range plans
  8. Provide idea generation:
    • Initiate optimization projects
    • Support on developing new business lines and acquisitions
Who we are:
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce or Engineering
  • Minimum 15 years in the oil and gas industry
  • Minimum 10 years working experience in midstream (commercial)
  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership role
  • Understanding of crude qualities and blending methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proven experience in commercial and legal negotiations
  • Financial, Economical and Decisional Analysis
  • Experience in economic analysis and writing business proposals
The following will be considered an asset:
  • Experience working within a Joint Venture partnership
  • Master’s Degree in Business

About Husky Midstream (HMGP):

Husky Midstream owns and operates approximately 2,200 kilometers of pipeline in the Lloydminster region, 5.9 million barrels of oil storage capacity at Hardisty, Alberta and Lloydminster, Alberta, and other ancillary infrastructure assets. It is responsible for blending Western Canadian Select, the benchmark for heavy Canadian crude oil.

The Company is owned by CK Infrastructure Holdings Limited (CKI) (16.25%), Power Assets Holdings Limited (48.75%) and Cenovus Energy Inc. (35%). Cenovus is the operator. CKI and Power Assets are global infrastructure companies trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
