The Project Manager will be based in Toronto, Canada and is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, control, and completion of various high-priority projects that move the company towards its strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  1. Work with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource requirements, and budget estimates.
  2. Identify project team members and assign responsibilities. Coordinate with department managers to allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support project activities.
  3. Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery. Develop risk mitigation strategies to address potential challenges and ensure project success as much as possible.
  4. Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Communicate project status, updates, and key decisions to stakeholders, team members, and senior management on a consistent basis.
  5. Monitor project costs in order to meet budget. Ensure that project costs are accurately reported and managed throughout the project lifecycle.
  6. Implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project deliverables.
  7. Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

Key Skills Required

  1. Proficiency in project management software tools, such as Microsoft Project, Jira etc, for creating project plans, tracking progress, and managing tasks.
  2. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  3. Highly motivated with a proven track record of being responsible for successful projects.
  4. Strong negotiation and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams to achieve project goals.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build collaborative internal relationships across the organization.
  6. Proficiency in project management software tools.

Education/Experience

  1. An undergraduate degree is required (Business, Computer Science or Project Management preferred).
  2. 7+ years of relevant project management experience required, including long-term, cross-departmental change management projects.

Location: This position is located in Toronto, Canada. This is a hybrid position with some future regular office attendance required.

Reports to: This position reports to the company President in San Francisco, California.
