Profile

Report to the Manager – Business Systems IT, the ERP Specialist will join our IFS Services & Support team and will be responsible for supporting and maintaining De Havilland’s primary ERP (IFS). This includes, but is not limited to, handling functional and technical issues reported by end-users, completing service requests along with problem and change management, designing, developing, deploying and maintaining new IFS solutions, and monitoring and analyzing support quality metrics to identify areas for improvement and to ensure that the company’s goals are being met. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our IFS Services and Support members and collaborate with the IFS development team to design, develop, test and deploy IFS patches, service updates and release updates.

This role can be located in Calgary or Mississauga.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test and deploy IFS Application patches, update deliveries and system enhancements.
  • Take ownership of IFS functional/technical issues reported by the end-user base and provide end-to-end resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code on IFS CRIM features, bug fixes and hotfixes following IFS and DHC best practices and coding standards.
  • Assist in automating ERP workflows and processes using IFS BPA or scripting languages.
  • Contribute to the documentation of software solution features, technical specifications, and user guides.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

  • An University degree, or equivalent professional qualifications, in software/system engineering, is essential.

Skills

  • Understand Software Engineering or IT service management methodologies and best practices.
  • Fundamental Knowledge of the IFS Apps10 as well as 21R1+ Cloud versions and proven experience with Build-Place and Use-Place environment maintenance.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PLSQL, Python, and NodeJS.
  • Experience in version control systems: Git and branching strategy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Advanced experience in using development tools such as Visual Studio, VSCode, Resharper or equivalent would be a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge in Azure cloud services would be a plus.
