We are looking for an exceptional Retail Operations and Expansion Manager to join our team and lead the charge in growing our retail presence. This role is ideal for a highly motivated and experienced professional who has a proven track record in Retail Development , staffing, and employee training.
Position Overview:
The Retail Operations and Expansion Manager will be responsible for overseeing the strategic growth of AutoShack’s retail locations across Canada. This role requires a dynamic leader with extensive experience in retail management, store development, and team building. The successful candidate will be instrumental in identifying new market opportunities, managing store openings, and ensuring that each new location is staffed and trained to deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retail Operations and Expansion: Develop and execute a comprehensive plan for expanding AutoShack's retail presence across Canada. Identify and evaluate potential new store locations based on market research, demographics, and sales potential.
- Store Development: Oversee the entire process of store development from site selection and lease negotiations to construction, setup, and grand openings.
- Staffing and Training: Recruit, hire, and train store managers and staff to ensure all new locations are fully operational and staffed with knowledgeable, customer-focused employees.
- Budget Management: Create and manage budgets for store development and expansion projects, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Compliance and Quality Control: Ensure all new stores meet AutoShack’s standards for customer service, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on the performance of new stores, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Retail Operations and Expansion, with a focus on store expansion and development.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in expanding retail networks and managing multiple store openings simultaneously.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Project Management: Experience in managing large-scale retail projects, including budgeting, scheduling.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within Canada to oversee store openings and manage expansion projects.
