Position Summary

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Receivable Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing all accounts receivable functions including managing invoices, handling collection of payments and managing daily financial transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily processing of Accounts Receivables using SAP and in accordance with established procedures including validation and coding of invoices.
  • Customer account set-up, maintenance and credit monitoring.
  • Monitor, research and resolve payment discrepancies (non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities).
  • Weekly reconciliation of online billings and cash settlement reports against, sales transactions, funding reports and bank
  • Set and monitor collection performance against target metrics.
  • Issue monthly Credit and Collection Reports summarizing DSO performance, customer payment trends and detailed narratives on key credit issues as well as performance plans.
  • Cash applications, processing EFTs and Credit Card payments to ensure all receipts are applied properly.
  • Recommend improvements to processes focused on quality of invoicing and collection. procedures and hold various parties accountable to ensure processes are executed.
  • Weekly/monthly reporting of AR aging with review.
  • Weekly/Monthly cash flow reporting.
  • Providing professional and timely collection of outstanding assigned accounts by phone and/or e-mail while maintaining excellent client relations, escalating to Supervisor as needed.
  • Identifying client accounts that are due at month end or have become past due.
  • Handling inquiries for information, facts and monthly collections targets.
  • Documenting all collection efforts by adding notes derived from calls/emails in the Firm’s collection system software.
  • Preparing accruals and reconciling sub-ledger to the general ledger
  • Performing general ledger posting and monthly/year-end reconciliations
  • Weekly/Monthly Sales reports
  • Support the Finance team in fulfilling audit requirements.
  • Assisting with administrative, clerical, and other duties related in the Firm’s management of AR.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills/Experience:

  • Five years’ experience in Accounts Receivable.
  • Strong accounting knowledge.
  • Previous experience overseeing staff.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail including a high degree of numerical accuracy.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Working Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to use hands to type and write.
  • Strong vision capability to read a computer screen.
  • PPE, such as helmets, safety glasses, gloves, or respiratory protection, are required in the plant.
