The Company:

Our client is an international leader in food distribution and packaging. With a new Retail / CPG brand presence in the Canadian market, they are seeking a strong Business Development, growth minded Key Accounts Manager to help lead their sales team and capture new market share for their product lines.


The Opportunity:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in account management and a passion for building and maintaining relationships with Key Retail / Grocery partners.

This role is a critical Business Development, growth role focused on expanded market share in the retail food space, focusing on pulses products from farm to fork across North America.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:


Develop and manage relationships with key retail accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

Drive sales growth by identifying opportunities within key accounts for product expansion and promotions.

Lead contract negotiations with retail partners, including pricing, terms, and promotional activities.

Maintain a deep understanding of product lines and market trends to make effective recommendations to retail partners.

Prepare sales forecasts, track performance against targets, and provide regular reports to the Business Head.

Collaborate with the logistics, quality marketing, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of customer programs.

Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, addressing issues, and ensuring timely resolution of problems.

Monitor and report on competitive activity, market trends, and retail customer behavior to support continuous improvement and innovation.


Key Qualifications & Competencies:


University Degree in Business, Sales or related field

5+ Years experience in Key / National Account Management in Food / CPG products.

Field sales experience is an asset for this role

Strong negotiation & relationship building skills

Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent Verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Highly organized with a focus on results and attention to detail
