Job Summary
ARC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Receptionist for our North Edmonton location. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong ability to multi-task, manage multiple phone lines, and provide exceptional patient care. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all patients.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Reception Duties: Answer multiple phone lines promptly and professionally, direct calls to appropriate staff, and take detailed messages as needed.
  2. Patient Coordination: Greet patients, manage check-ins, and coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient appointment scheduling and minimal wait times.
  3. Appointment Management: Schedule and confirm patient appointments using Health Quest software, ensuring all necessary information is accurately recorded.
  4. Administrative Support: Assist with general office duties including filing, scanning, and linking documents to patient records, and handling patient inquiries both in person and over the phone.
  5. Data Entry: Accurately input and update patient information in the Health Quest system.
  6. Communication: Collaborate with medical staff and other team members to ensure all patient needs are met and any issues are addressed in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical receptionist or similar role.
  2. Proficiency in using Health Quest software or similar electronic health record systems.
  3. Strong multitasking skills, with the ability to handle a fast-paced environment and manage multiple phone lines.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused approach.
  5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  6. Experience in patient care coordination is an asset.
