The College and Association of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut is currently seeking a knowledgeable, self-directed nurse to serve as the Director, Quality Practice. You would be a member of a strong team responsible for ensuring the regulatory functions performed by CANNN are carried out according to the Nursing Profession Act and the CANNN Bylaws and Policies, and provide practice support to members, employers and the public on nursing trends and issues.

Qualifications:
  1. Baccalaureate degree.
  2. Minimum 3 years recent nursing experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner.
  3. Must be eligible for an active practicing license with CANNN.
  4. Knowledge of current nursing trends and issues.
  5. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, time management and writing skills.

This position is 1.0 FTE working 37.5 hours per week and located in Yellowknife.

Starting Hourly Salary of $61.63/hour.

Closing Date: August 2nd, 2024.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months.

Pay: $61.63 per hour.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person.
