Role: Cybersecurity Specialist

Level: Intermediate to Senior-level

Location: 4 day per week on-site in London, ON

Duration: 6 months (strong probability of extension)

Hr/week: 40

Start: ASAP (mid-April)

Requirements:

  • Experience with desktops and servers in Windows, Linux (Kali, RHEL) and MacOS environments
  • Experience with security frameworks, standards, and controls from NIST Cyber Security Framework, CIS Benchmark, and ISO 27002.
  • Experience with firewall management and identity management protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect) is required.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with the Ontario Energy Board's Cyber Security Framework and/or NERC CIP standards would be preferred.
  • Knowledge of OWASP testing methodology is desirable.

Must have one or more cyber security industry certifications as per below:

  • CISM, CISSP
  • PNSCE, SECURITY+, PENTEST+, CEH or equivalent
  • CCNA/NP or equivalent
  • AWS Solution Architect or GCP Professional Cloud Architect/Security Engineer

Main Duties - management and technical security tasks:

  • Administering security awareness training
  • Performing security reviews
  • Conducting vulnerability and risk assessments
  • Managing an ongoing risk register
  • Drafting proposals for projects (RFPs and RFQs)
  • Configuring firewall policies, network routes, and security controls in information systems
  • Configuring SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect in identity providers
  • Conducting incident response and network security troubleshooting activities
