**We are looking for a Security Platform Specialist to join the team in Canada, ON, for hybrid work (Office in Toronto)**
As a Security Platform Specialist you will be responsible for analyzing and designing solutions for customer IT infrastructure requirements, providing technical support to customers, as well as troubleshooting, diagnosing and solving issues with both hardware and software.
**What You'll Do**
- Deliver solution design for customers with assistance including data collection, capacity planning, configuration design, quality assurance, performance analysis, technical risk assessments
- Participate in security product implementations including deployment planning, installation, configuration, customization and validation within customer environments
- Participate and lead SIEM (QRadar, Sentinel, LogRhythm, FortiSIEM) Architecture, Implementation and Testing projects
- Participate in post-sale technical support, evaluating customer readiness, conducting product training, identifying and resolving issues, including incident, problem and change management
- Create professional and quality customer deliverables
- While not leading large or complex solution delivery, the Security Technical Specialist will own specific tasks and responsibilities within larger projects and should be capable of leading smaller projects.
- Work effectively with customer cross-functional teams composed of technical and sales staff, project management and business stakeholders as evidenced customer satisfaction
- Research, design and develop customizations and reports
- Actively contribute within your team and GHS through tangible contributions to process development, quality improvements and operational efficiency.
- Achieve and maintain basic certifications in the products and technologies assigned to you
- Demonstrate personal leadership through positive and professional communication
- Work independently to deliver on assigned tasks and responsibilities with quality and accuracy.
- Manage time and effort to effectively deliver on commitments
**What You'll Need**
- 5+ years of experience in an IT environment and hands-on experience with large scale enterprise IT Security rollouts
- Demonstrated ability to understand IT and Security systems with sufficient depth to troubleshoot technical, time sensitive issues
- Experience with SIEM solutions, such as QRadar, Splunk, LogRhythm and others
- Experience with Security Concepts, Zero Trust, Network Security and Endpoint Security
- Experience with heterogeneous environments including Windows, UNIX and Linux
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. PowerVM, VMware, KVM)
- Some travel is required for this position

- Strong verbal communication skills and technical writing skills
- Strong team player and enjoys working in a fast-paced team atmosphere
- Ability to manage priorities, commitments and projects
- Ability to communicate ideas verbally and through documentation
- Must be able to grasp highly technical concepts quickly, develop content, and independently document concepts and procedures for target audiences
- Passionate about cybersecurity concepts and technologies
