Title: Technical Business Analyst
Duration: 6 month contract + possible extensions + possible perm conversion
Location: Vancouver - 3 days onsite/week
Pay Rate: $45-$55/hr CAD
Must Haves
4+ years' experience as a BA, preferably within the eCommerce and/or retail space.
Experience with both Technical and Functional requirements gathering.
Experience breaking down capabilities/Epics/Features/etc. to usable requirements.
Experience with dependency management and architectural decisions in requirements.
Experience working with Scrum teams to discover, solution, and estimate stories within a product backlog.
Experience working alongside developers and technical teams to identify, refine track and scope assumptions, constraints, dependencies, risks, questions, etc.
Experience working in a highly data centric environment, i.e. supporting data engineering /database/data warehouse/BI teams. Comfortable navigating through multiple databases.
Understanding of data integration patterns, i.e. files, APIs, Kafka/streaming, Data Pipelines, CDP, etc.
Experience working with both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
Experience with JIRA and Confluence for backlog prioritization.
Plusses
Experience with email/push notification projects using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or similar email/push notification platforms.
Exposure to cloud infrastructure like Snowflake, MS Azure.
Day to Day
An employer is looking for a Technical Business Analyst in Vancouver. This role requires 3 days/week onsite in Vancouver (near the Burrard St Bridge) - as such, only local candidates will be considered at this time. You will work closely with business owners, product managers, Business Owners and Technology teams in the digital space to ensure digital roadmaps are created and managed according to the requirements needed to solve the high priority problems within each roadmap. You will map out and illustrate how applications are connected, perform data analysis, and recommend new solutions that reduce cost and expand capabilities of the Marketing Technology team. Responsible for ensuring acceptance criteria is aligned. Works closely with Architects to ensure system implications/dependencies/information security aspects are fully understood. Facilitates requirement conversations with Technology Teams. Demonstrated experience making tradeoffs between business needs and technology constraints while keeping the guests needs as a top priority.
