Reporting to the Manager of Residence Dining with a dotted line to the Executive Chef, you will lead operations of the Late-Night program, oversee the Late Night team, and help where needed. We can’t wait to see your growth, all while igniting your passion and pursuing what matters to you.

This is a full-time leadership position with a starting hourly wage of $22.00 plus health benefits, paid sick time, accrued vacation time, and more

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee planning, production and service of meals under the Late-Night food service program
  • Serve as main point of contact for guests; responding to questions, resolving potential issues, and delivering an exceptional customer service that has aided in making the Late-Night program so popular with the students of Saint Mary's University
  • Ensure all meals are prepared in accordance with Aramark standards of safety and quality
  • Ensure all food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis
  • Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel; promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.
  • Maintain logs on all maintenance required on equipment within the department.
  • Ensure all food safety/temperature logs are completed with appropriate corrective action, as necessary.
  • Maintain communication with staff (including office staff, e-mail, phone calls, inter-office mail, etc).
Qualifications
  • 5 years culinary experience required
  • 2+ years' experience in a leadership role, either as an individual contributor or people manager required
  • Red Seal considered an asset
  • Intermediate understanding of English language, including ability to read, write, and speak English at the intermediate level required
  • Exceptional customer service skills, possessing ability to build relationships with team and guests alike
  • Flexible schedule as late nights and weekends are required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time; lift, push, pull 35 - 50 lbs.
