Vice President, Manufacturing Operations

Our Clients is a leading expert in waste and recycling equipment, committed to quality in its staff, service, and products. The company offers a full range of technology enabled waste equipment services and sales for the multi-unit residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional markets nationwide. Currently operating with three (3) main manufacturing locations within the GTA, one (1) manufacturing site in Ohio, US and satellite locations in London, Ottawa and Vancouver, BC.
Position Overview:
The Vice President of Operations is a key senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing and satellite facilities. Reporting directly to the President, the VP of Operations will collaborate with the leadership team to ensure alignment with the organization's culture and strategic goals. This role requires a dynamic individual who is a team player with exceptional leadership skills, strategic vision, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the leadership team to set strategic goals and objectives that promote the growth and success of the business.
- Prepare and manage budgets, schedules, and other necessary documents to support operational planning and execution.
- Develop and implement plans and strategies to enhance productivity, optimize processes, and reduce costs across all manufacturing and satellite facilities.
- Lead the development and execution of corporate strategies in production, purchasing, and distribution to achieve short and long-term business objectives.
- Work closely with the leadership and department heads to ensure smooth operations and adherence to guidelines, regulations, and quality standards.
- Develop and oversee the budget for the all manufacturing facilities, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the Directors of Operations, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and efficiencies, implementing best practices and innovative solutions as appropriate. Collaborate with the leadership team to set strategic goals and objectives that promote the growth and success of the business.
- Prepare and manage budgets, schedules, and other necessary documents to support operational planning and execution.
- Develop and implement plans and strategies to enhance productivity, optimize processes, and reduce costs across all manufacturing and satellite facilities.

- Develop and oversee the budget for the three manufacturing facilities, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to track progress and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
- Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility across all manufacturing locations .
Qualifications:
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in operations management, with demonstrated success in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing operational strategies that drive business growth, efficiency, and profitability.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of industry best practices, regulations, and compliance standards.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
