Job Summary: As a Dosimetrist, you will perform specialized clinical work as a member of the radiation oncology team. Your responsibilities include developing treatment plans for oncology patients, consulting with physicians, performing image registration, and contouring organs at risk. You will also be involved in quality assurance, coordinating resources, and providing technical advice and support to non-certified dosimetrists and students.
Location: Newfoundland and Labrador
Hours: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: $49.53 to $59.60 per hour ($38.88 - $48.95 base rate plus $10.65 pensionable market differential)
Financial Incentives:
- Signing bonus up to $10,000
- Come Home incentive up to $60,000
- Relocation support
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an approved/accredited degree/diploma in Radiation Therapy
- Current and continuing certification with the Canadian Association for Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) in Radiation Therapy
- Successful completion of the CAMRT Dosimetry Certificate (CDC) OR current and continuing registration as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) with the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB)
- Minimum of three years' experience within the last five years in Radiation Therapy or Dosimetry
- In-depth knowledge of treatment planning and dose calculation principles
- Strong decision-making, time management, and autonomous working skills
- Ability to build and maintain successful working relationships
