Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the position include:


· Planning and execution of environmental field programs for the energy sector.

· Execution of groundwater, Phase II and remediation programs.

· Evaluation of scientific data, and technical report preparation.

· Project management, cost estimating and workplan development.

· Contractor supervision while ensuring safe execution of environmental programs.

· Mentorship of junior staff.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

· Consulting years of experience: >5 years (position duties will vary based on level of experience).

· Degree in geology, environmental engineering, or environmental science.

· Preference will be given to applicants with eligibility for a professional designation (P.Geol., P.Eng., P.Ag.) or as a member in training (G.I.T, E.I.T, A.Ag.).

· Strong time management, attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Previous fieldwork and reporting experience in Alberta.
