Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Design Quality Manager - Transportation Infrastructure to join our team In this role you will get to support our design teams deliver exceptional quality as we work with our clients to deliver a better world

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provides Quality Systems leadership using the ISO 9001 Standard as the basis for process development and optimization, procedure development, data collection and reporting and Quality Systems training.
  • Develop and implement and oversees design quality management processes and procedures.
  • Trains design teams in design quality management processes and requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with quality standards, the Design Quality Management Plan and reports the results to the designated individuals with responsibilities for Project Quality Management.
  • Monitor and track non-compliance issues and support project teams in implementing corrective action plans.
  • Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
  • Reviews from a quality perspective (and approves if required) documents prepared by internal or external organizations such as quality manuals and procedures, technical deliverables, test plans and procedures, purchase orders, and subcontracts.
  • Collaborates with management for interface on Quality activities with internal or external organizations (customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and others).
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate quality records in an auditable format throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Effectively documents, follows-up and closes corrective actions - both internal and external. Analyzes findings/ issues/ non-conformances identified during audits to determine program quality and identify performance trends. Analysis includes all available oversight results, both internal and external, and trending data.
  • Provide certifications, if required, indicating conformance to design quality control requirements.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 4-year degree in Engineering, Business or Quality discipline or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of related work experience in the field of Quality.
  • ASQ Certification (CMQ/OE, CQA, or CQE) or Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or equal).
  • Active P/Eng


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Membership in a nationally recognized Quality organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9000) and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with requirements of Canadia Ministry of Transportation, and/or provincial engineering associations, e.g. APEGA, EGBC, OSPE, etc.
  • Experience developing and auditing compliance with Professional Practice Management Plans (PPMPs)

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Possesses working knowledge of industries such as roadways, tunnels, bridges, rail/transit, and/or aviation.
