CFOs and Finance teams of businesses struggle with inefficient financial operations processes and wish there were a unified financial operations management platform where they could bank, transact, and plan—all in one place.
At Finofo, we are on a mission to bring advanced financial services for global businesses via a unified platform. Our vision is to enable CFOs and financial decision makers of global businesses to have a radically easier way to develop and manage their FX strategy through Finofo's digital platform.
The Role
Until now, our sales motion has been primarily founder-led. We've successfully sold to our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and used their feedback to refine a product that effectively addresses customer pain points. Our brand is strong, and our focus, sharp on mid-market companies across Canada and the US. We are now ready to scale our sales motion from being founder-led to building out our sales team in Calgary.
We are looking to hire three sales professionals as part of our sales team build-out. The working title is "Account Executive," though we're open to ideas. This role is about more than just a title; it's an opportunity to sell an exceptional product and to be integral to developing a sales function from the ground up. Joining Finofo now means being part of a crucial phase in our expansion and performing the most significant work of your career to date.
The team
You will be joining an experienced team with both founders having deep industry experience in the FX products. We attract an extremely high level of VC investor interest for our next round; so much so that we decided to share this attention with other cool startups actively raising right now.
We’re based in Calgary and have an office in downtown Calgary. The company is well-funded by investors like Motivate Venture Capital, SaaS Ventures, Desjardins, and Sweet Spot Capital.
Your Skillset:
- You are either a super networker or a disciplined sales person, or at best combination of both
- Innate ability to deeply understand the end user’s pain points
- Great at understanding financial products in a B2B context. You will be selling to CFOs and financial decision makers of mid-market companies with employee base of 100 to 1000.
- Proven success in lead generation and qualification
- Ability to build a network and expand the top of the sales funnel
- Exceptional negotiation and closing abilities
- Outstanding communication skills that build trust and close deals
- Adept at using modern sales tools and technologies

- Experience with FX Sales to mid-market companies
- A contact list ripe for revisiting
Your Mission:
As an Account Executive at Finofo, your primary goal will be to drive growth by securing new clients and fostering meaningful relationships with them. You will concentrate on engaging with mid-market companies to understand their challenges and demonstrate how Finofo's platform can streamline their financial operations and enhance their productivity. Your responsibilities will include identifying potential clients, conducting outreach, demonstrating the capabilities of our platform, and guiding prospects through the purchasing process.
You will also play a critical role in shaping the sales strategy by collaborating with the product team to relay customer feedback that can enhance the platform's functionality. Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to meet or exceed sales targets, the depth of your client relationships, and your contribution to the team's overall strategy and cohesion.
Ultimately, your mission is to empower CFOs and finance teams with the tools they need to streamline their operations and execute their financial strategies more effectively, ensuring Finofo becomes an indispensable part of their financial toolkit.
Interview Process
Resume review: We review each application thoroughly.
Pitch Video Submission: Successful applicants will receive an email from our hiring team with instructions to send us a short video recording yourself selling a product you last sold. We are aware of the time commitment required and only send this to a select group of applicants.
First Interview: This will be a discussion with the co-founder & CEO about your past projects and we will briefly discuss your video submission along with answering any questions you may have.
Final Round: This would be a longer discussion with the co-founders aimed at understanding your story to assess cultural fit. In this round, we leave a lot of time for you to ask your questions.
Offer & Reference Checks: You will be presented with an offer conditional upon successful reference checks.
