As the HR Generalist in Wallaceburg, ON, you will report directly to the Regional HR Manager, and play a key role in shaping our workforce during a crucial phase of growth and transformation.
What You Will Do:
- Primary HR Contact: Serve as the primary HR liaison for employees and management, ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of HR policies and procedures.
- HRIS Administration: Oversee the day-to-day operations of Dayforce (HRIS), ensuring accurate and efficient employee data management.
- Recruitment and Staffing: Lead recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding. Collaborate with plant managers to assess staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and organize skill enhancement and employee development programs aligned with organizational goals.
- Performance Management: Assist in performance evaluation systems, supporting managers in conducting performance reviews and developmental planning.
- HR Metrics and Reporting: Generate and analyze HR metrics, providing insightful reports for strategic decision-making.
- Employee Relations: Address employee concerns at the operational level, maintaining open communication and fostering positive relations.
- Compensation and Benefits: Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Compliance: Monitor compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations. Identify potential HR-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Labor Relations: Address labor-related issues, maintaining open communication and positive relations among the workforce.
- Additional Responsibilities: Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives, support succession planning, promote diversity and inclusion, participate in HR projects, manage offboarding processes, and maintain the employee handbook.
