Our client, a distributor of popular kitchen and bathroom plumbing products worldwide, is seeking a Supply Chain Planner

The Supply Chain Planner will act as a liaison between planning, customer service, distribution, and Marketing to ensure success in the following areas: Customer event, promotional and new product launch activities, service management, DC workload balancing and prioritization, and Wholesale project product availability.

Supply Chain Planner Details

· Hybrid, 3 days (Tuesday-Thurs) in office, Monday-Friday WFH

· Holidays: 3 weeks, plus option to purchase a 4th.

· Salary: $62K-$80K based on qualifications

· Bonus: 10%.

· RRSP: 3% plus 5% match (8%).

Supply Chain Planner Qualifications

· College Diploma in Business, Operations Management or equivalent

· APICS certification is preferred.

· 3-5 years Inventory Planning experience

· Master scheduling experience is an asset.

· Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods is an asset.

· 2-3 years SAP experience with proficiency in several computer applications; Analysis for Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

· 2-3 years DDMRP experience is an asset.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to internal customers

· Strong analytical ability and detail oriented

· Proven ability to organize, prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment with constant interruptions

· Demonstrated ability to perform analysis, determine root cause, and recommend improvements to prevent reoccurrence

Supply Chain Planner What you’ll be doing.

  • Use supply planning in SAP MRP and Orchestrate DDMRP tools to expedite products as needed to maintain a 98% fill rate.
  • Collaborate with the service analyst to identify root causes and take corrective actions for service misses.
  • Monitor large/advance orders and work with Sales to manage customer expectations.
  • Review forecast/supply for new products to ensure timely execution of launches.
  • Review demand/supply for obsolete products to minimize leftover inventory during deletions or partial discontinuations.
  • Conduct monthly forecasting by customer or product category and monitor forecast accuracy.
  • Analyze historical POS data to determine future forecasts in SAP APO.
  • Forecast planned promotional/project activity in APO/O8 to meet incremental customer needs.
  • Participate in monthly collaboration meetings to discuss forecasts and resolve discrepancies, as well as attend weekly and bi-weekly customer collaboration meetings to review and resolve any customer issues.
  • Ensure accurate and timely creation of purchase orders.
  • Communicate and resolve supply issues with vendors.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure adherence to agreed lead times.
  • Make recommendations on minimum order quantities as needed.
  • Work with Sales/Marketing to review buffer inventory levels and identify corrective actions/reductions.
  • The Supply Chain network should be rebalanced if there is excess inventory.
  • As needed, analyze and report inventory gaps.
  • Ad-hoc reports are prepared using SAP and Analysis for Office
