Temporary Material Planner

Job Description details:

The primary function of this role is to support the master production schedule and ensure a suitable level of inventory. The role includes executing the material plan.

Primary duties:

  • Resolve invoice on hold concerns for prompt supplier payment
  • Maintain PO dates, pricing and status
  • Review MRP Workbench and action planned orders and exception messages to ensure material availability and control inventory levels
  • Maintain material escalation trackers to ensure material availability
  • Organizing material in stock locations
  • Handling material shortages
  • Coordinate with production employees to assess material levels
  • Update management / supervisors on the shortages
  • Support physical inventories on a quarterly basis

Qualifications

  • College Diploma or equivalent 1 year work experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in supply chain (or related) role
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (including Excel and Access)
  • Effective time management and prioritization
