Our team is seeking a proactive, reliable, creative and analytical senior UX researcher to join our product team.


The Role:

As a key member of the Product Research team, you will be responsible for leading the overall product planning and setting the direction for product improvements. You'll be tasked with generating MRD (Market Requirements Document) reports based on deep, insightful research and working closely with the product development team to ensure that new features and upgrades align with the strategic vision you’ve established. This includes shaping both short- and long-term Product Roadmaps.

Additionally, you will collaborate with fellow researchers, defining specific research requirements that cover areas such as user insights, competitor analysis, and broader industry trends. The findings from these efforts will directly influence your product planning and improvement strategies. Finally, your strong data analysis skills will enable you to adjust the product strategy in response to evolving market feedback and performance metrics.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive user research to inform product planning and the enhancement of existing video software products, focusing on user needs analysis, audience expansion, and feature optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with the product team to establish research objectives and methodologies, ensuring alignment with both PRD (Product Requirements Document) and MRD.
  • Regularly produce MRD reports based on research insights, tracking industry trends and providing guidance for strategic product development.
  • Analyze product and market feedback data to evaluate the success of implementations and recommend necessary adjustments to the product roadmap.


What We're Looking For:

  • 6+ years of experience as a UX Researcher or in a similar role, with at least 3 years of experience in technology, consumer software, or SaaS industries.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate research insights, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently analyze user issues and propose creative, viable solutions.


Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
  • Experience working for a large B2C technology company in North America.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak Mandarin (Simplified Chinese).
  • Proficiency with user research tools and methodologies—experience with video software or media products is a strong plus.
