Description d’emploiThe Opportunity
The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive product marketing strategies for the retail investment business in Canada. This position is pivotal in driving our marketing efforts, enhancing product visibility, and ensuring alignment with our business goals. Reporting to the Director, Advisor Marketing, the Senior Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with the distribution and product teams to create compelling marketing materials and campaigns that effectively promote our investment products, supporting customer value and accelerating sales growth. The successful candidate will own the end-to-end marketing strategy for our investment products, taking full accountability for the success of marketing initiatives and their impact on business growth.
Manulife Investment Management’s retail investment business in Canada consists of an $80B+ provider of investment solutions for individual investors and families, primarily through advisors. The investment strategies are offered as mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), alternatives, and separately managed accounts (SMAs).
Responsibilities:- Support the continual refinement of the marketing strategy for advisors and their clients across Canada.
- Lead the planning, development, and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive product awareness and adoption.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships across business areas, particularly with sales and product leadership teams to drive marketing strategies and initiatives.
- Collaborate with product management and the sales team to craft compelling positioning and effective marketing messaging of our investment products to differentiate them in the market.
- Own and support the development of marketing collateral for new and existing products and programs, aligning with business goals and marketing strategies.
- Leverage all media creatively and effectively to drive business outcomes, including email marketing, A/B testing, social influence, digital advertising channels and website experiences.
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement, and adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and ensure our products remain competitive in the marketplace.
- Ensure all marketing activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure high-quality work and alignment of organizational efforts.

- 6+ years of product marketing experience in wealth management, specifically with mutual funds, ETFs, alternatives, and SMAs.
- University graduate (advanced degree or certification a plus: i.e., CFA, CIM, CAIA).
- Passion for wealth management industry with deep knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and the investment industry.
- Take full accountability for the success of product marketing strategies and initiatives, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for results.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing digital marketing campaigns.
- Creative thinker with enthusiasm for developing innovative marketing solutions.
- Ability to translate complex investment concepts into compelling marketing messages.
- Ability to influence and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, analytic (data-driven), communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Morningstar Direct, Seismic, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of the asset management regulatory environment and guidelines.
