The Role:

This is a tenure track position based on favorable evaluations and budget. Other responsibilities include the Chief Power Engineer or Shift Engineer for the NWP Power Plant Lab used in instruction.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3rd class, 2nd class preferred, Power Engineering Certificate;
  • Five (5) years of applied experience is preferred;
  • Candidates must be able to apply different instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with different learning styles;
  • Knowledge of Northwestern Polytechnic courses and current educational technologies commonly found in classrooms (e.g., videoconferencing, D2L) are desired;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, specifically one who is willing to take a risk to create opportunities;
  • Highly qualified faculty, who seek to continuously improve instruction and meet the needs of learners;
  • Student Focused;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to build strong relationships across the organization;
  • A high level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
