ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Program Manager, Accreditation Decision Committee (ADC) is a member of the Accreditation Decision Committee team, reporting to the ADC Chair. This Program Manager role is an opportunity to tap into your knowledge and experience in leading teams that are responsible for the design and development of people-centered evidence-based health and social services standards and learning resources, such as a new ADC platform, new ADC processes and decision guidelines.

The Program Manager will facilitate the decision-making process including providing advice and guidance to team members and key stakeholders as well as being responsible for assessing the client organizations evidence requirements through an understanding of their culture and the context of their organization. The Program Manager will also collaborate and advise in the development of functional and company-wide strategies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Making decisions based on Accreditation Decision mandate and its role, and a consideration of organizational risks.
  • Managing the design, development, and successful completion of collaborative team-based projects from end-to-end (e.g., new ADC platform, new ADC processes, decision guidelines).
  • Facilitating the decision-making process including providing advice and guidance to team members and key stakeholders when decisions or alternate options are required.
  • Researching, preparing, and presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Communicating with project team(s) and key stakeholders regularly to provide updates on project progress and gather information to advance your project(s) operationally or strategically.
  • Collaborating and advising in the development of functional and company-wide strategies.
  • Identifying when modifications/changes required and implementing these as necessary using initiative, creativity, analytical skills, and judgement.
  • Monitoring, analysing and communicating the findings of complex trends, risks, and issues that arise, as well as evaluating deliverables, processes, and outcomes.
  • Assessing the client organizations evidence requirements through an understanding of their culture and the context of their organization.
  • Contributing positively to the culture of our workplace by staying positive, engaged in the work you do and energized by the difference you're making.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience in the Accreditation decision making process.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a health care field.
  • 5+ years of progressive and varied experience in a clinical health care position.
  • Tried and tested clinical assessment, analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Understanding a program and projects in the context of an organization and within the context of the health care eco-system by having in-depth knowledge of healthcare systems.
  • Experience in project management – with various stakeholders. Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Comfortable and efficient with technology and working in a hybrid environment.
  • Appreciates diversity and recognizes the value of different opinions, roles, experiences, cultures, and backgrounds.
  • Accountable for work delegated to others (peers, team members, experts).
  • Bilingual in French and English.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Have knowledge of and experience in the health care sector.
  • Additional languages such as Spanish and/or Italian are preferred.
