About The Company

Our client, a highly respected construction firm, is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Group Finance Manager for their office in downtown Toronto. This is a newly created role due to continued growth and acquisitions.

About The Role

Reporting to the Senior VP of Finance, you will oversee a team of four, providing timely financial accounting information and analysis. Key responsibilities include managing financial reporting, ensuring GAAP/IFRS compliance, and developing financial strategy with the Senior VP, Finance. The role covers general accounting, financial systems, tax planning, cash management, and compliance. Additionally, you will support profitability and strategic direction, focusing on safety, customer satisfaction, and growth while ensuring efficient operations and cost-effective resource management.

The Offer

The position offers a competitive salary (up to $160K), with a discretionary bonus, comprehensive benefits, RRSP, 3 weeks vacation, summer hours, fitness allowance, CPA dues, and career development within a supportive work environment.

What You Bring

To qualify for this role, you need to be CPA designated with over 5 years of corporate finance management experience, including audit roles in Canadian public firms within construction, mining, or manufacturing sectors. Essential skills include contracting, negotiation, and change management. Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial modeling is required. Fluency in English and Spanish, along with strong leadership, judgment, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, are essential. A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business is required, with the ability to travel overseas up to 3-4 times a year.
