Our partner is a global leader in vacuum and pump products. We are looking for an innovative Technical Support Specialist to join the team. The Technical Support Specialist acts as an expert for the company's product portfolio and, as such, provides support to internal and external customers in troubleshooting and technical issues. Additionally, they will monitor service quality issues, coordinate training activities, and promote service process improvements. To succeed as a Technical Support Specialist, you must always expand your industry knowledge and be able to quickly identify issues. Exceptional Technical Support Specialists are responsible, trustworthy, and capable of building lasting relationships with their teams.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- 30% Daily interaction with external and internal customers to provide expert-level technical support for the company's products.
- Coordinate internal resource efforts to provide and implement solutions to one-time and recurring product issues.
- Respond quickly to customer inquiries and act as a liaison between the customer and internal departments, including sales, engineering, and service.
- Support the workshop and field service teams with technical requests, difficult repairs, and complex troubleshooting (including travel across Canada).
- 20% Coordinate and deliver training activities to maintain the highest level of competence for our service technicians across Canada.
- Support continuous improvement processes to enhance workshop repair quality.
- 10% Work with the systems department to support system startups, after-sales support, and service requests for new systems sold.
- 25% Coordinate the development of multi-brand capacity by supporting knowledge collection, training, and parts sourcing.
- 5% Coordinate and support key suppliers for outsourced repairs and services.
- 10% Other activities assigned by the manager.

OUR REQUIREMENTS
- Professional school diploma in industrial mechanics or related training.
- 10 to 15 years of experience, ideally in an industrial environment where pumps are repaired/maintained (including some as team leader/supervisor).
- Strong understanding and experience in vacuum pump repair.
- Availability to travel across Canada (approximately 20% of the time).
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to coordinate/supervise the work of others.
- Analytical thinking, teamwork, sociability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Bilingualism is important, as customers and partners are located throughout Canada and Quebec
