Hays Specialist Recruitment has partnered with a leading manufacturing company based in Ottawa. We are currently hiring a Payroll Administrator to join their team. This candidate will be required to work 5 days in-office at their Ottawa office in the East End.
Your new role
- Centralised payroll management for hourly and commissioned employees across multiple location in North East Ontario
- Supporting commisiion pay for all employees in Ontario
- Timecard reviews and adjustments
- Generate and facilitate review of CCO, CATS report weekly
- Generate employee roster report and facilitate review
- Facilitate tracking of pay progression and make adjustments as needed
- Track and flag sick/vacation usage to departments leaders
- Track probabtion completion
- Maintain location seniority lists
- Maintaining key safety and quality trackers
- Provide ongoing support for the Ottawa Team
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous Payroll experience required
- Previous experience in a union environment
- 3-5 years of administrative experience required
- Successful completion of an administrative/office management program preferred
- Experience with payroll and invoicing programs
- Successful completion of high school diploma required
- Professional accomplishments that reflect self-motivation and initiative
- Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills required
- Ability to multi-task is essential
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills required
- Must be self-motivated, punctual with demonstrated professional maturity
- Kronos and SAP experience an asset
- Microsoft office experience required
- Able to work weekends or holidays as required
