Job DescriptionAs the Showroom Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of the plumbing showroom including the team, sales, operations, and financial performance while providing the leadership required to meet or exceed financial targets and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Additional duties will include:
- Drive sales and meet or exceed sales, product and gross profit targets while growing profit-sharing
- Recruit, develop, coach, and lead a team of world-class salespeople
- Develop and build strong relationships with designers, home builders and architects to grow profitable sales
- Set individual product line and teammate sales goals and hold the team accountable for meeting or exceeding sales and gross profit targets
- Analyze financial performance and implement appropriate strategies to increase sales, improve margins, manage assets, and increase both ROI and profit-sharing
- Enter orders and quotes in the system, expedite purchases while maintaining proactive communication with customers
- Build relationships in the community through local marketing efforts, hosting special events to build the customer base, and attending industry related events such as the Kitchen and Bath Expo
- Safeguard and maintain Profit Centre assets – buildings, inventory, equipment, and receivables
- Understand and follow all safety regulations at all customer locations as well as at the Profit Centre
- Perform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre Manager
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with showroom sales; plumbing, kitchen or bathroom showroom sales
- College and/or University degree preferred
- A minimum of 2 years managing a team
- Knowledge of kitchen and bath design trends
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
- Possess a strong work ethic and high standard of integrity
- Ability to build quality relationships with teammates, customers, and key vendors
- Possess strong sales skills, able to close the sale as well as lead and coach a highly effective sales team
- Able to interpret financial information and develop appropriate strategies to ensure long term business success
- Creates and builds a strong team environment, inspiring the sales team to achieve the highest levels of customer and employee satisfaction
- Possess strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Ability to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience with or knowledge of products sold in the plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showrooms
- Experience using M3 or Digital Warehouse
