Wind Construction Safety Manager

Per Sé Group is seeking a Safety Manager to work at a utility-scale wind farm project in Alberta, Canada for one of our premier renewable clients. An international leader in the renewable energy sector, our client has a substantial North American portfolio and is continuing to grow rapidly with billions of dollars in development and execution through 2030 and beyond. Responsibilities
- Conduct new employee project orientation and safety/environmental training with the company and subcontractor employees.
- Attend subcontractor preconstruction meetings, review task specific Job Hazard Analyses and assist with planning for safety issues.
- Lead safety/environmental incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective action plans. Interface with regulatory bodies (OSHA, EPA, and State/Local Regulators).
- Evaluate contractor operational practices/equipment for safety compliance.
- Conduct accident investigations and assist with OSHA and environmental inspections.
- Ensure that required regulatory permits are acquired, that reports are submitted to regulatory agencies, and any site permit conditions (e.g. sampling, record-keeping) are met.
Preferred Skills and Expertise
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- 8-10 years of progressive experience as an Environmental Health and System Professional in the Wind and Construction arena
- High Voltage safety experience required.
