Brandt is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician for our Cambridge Construction & Forestry location. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry-based equipment and attachments in a shop environment.
Duties & Responsibilities- Evaluate the working condition of heavy-duty equipment
- Diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair equipment
- Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Document all machine information and actions taken accurately
- Assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely
- Utilize computer applications and information systems for maintenance and diagnosis
- Locate and order parts using parts catalogues
- Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Proven computer and technical aptitude for diagnostics and calibration work
- Strong time-management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Commitment to high-quality customer service
Experience: Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
