The Clinical Director, Pharmacy Member Success is responsible for providing a high level of professional support to HealthPRO Canada members in BC, AB, SK and MB, promoting the value of HealthPRO Canada services and monitoring successful implementation of contracts. In supporting members, the Clinical Director will provide information to the Contracting Team regarding requests and needs of members in order to ensure that pharmacy contracts are relevant to the current healthcare environment. The Clinical Director, Pharmacy Member Success is the member’s first point of contact for any issues related to contracts.


Job Description


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with members by sharing professional knowledge and engendering trust.
  • Liaise with provincial contacts regarding all issues related to contracts.
  • Contribute to financial growth in Pharmacy Services by promoting member onboarding to new contracts, understanding new opportunities, and monitoring sales to ensure appropriate compliance with contracts.
  • Collaborate with other HealthPRO service areas to share best practices and look for opportunities for business growth.
  • Provide orientation and coordinate training of new staff at member sites to HealthPRO services and website.
  • Support members with activities related to transition of each contract cycle.
  • Encourage cross functional communication/sharing of ideas/information with respect to process steps, contract strategies, market research, etc.
  • Support Pharmacy team in contracting activities to ensure member needs are met.
  • Escalate contract/supplier issues to Contracting Team.
  • Organize and promote Pharmacy Technician and Buyer’s Forum.
  • Participate in sample evaluation process.
  • Support a Committee of the Pharmacy Advisory Council (e.g., Strategy Committee, Pediatric Expert Advisory Subcommittee, Drug Shortages Committee, etc.,) by coordinating meeting schedule, agenda generation and minutes with member Chair of the committee.
  • Remain current on industry shifts, occurrences, acquisitions/mergers, events, especially with respect to provincial pressures.


Skill Set

  • Graduate of an accredited school, licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in Canada
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant hospital pharmacy experience
  • Excellent understanding of hospital pharmacy operations and needs
  • High level understanding of all contracts from both a product and market perspective
  • Demonstrated leadership competency
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
