Clark Builders is hiring a Senior Project Manager. Working out of the Calgary office, the Senior Project Manager will lead and support projects across all our regions of work. This role is highly accountable and responsible for all aspects associated with the successful execution and delivery of our projects safely, within budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to: Director, Operations or Project Executive

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Leads, Builds, and Develops Operations Talent and Cultural Management, supporting Clark Builders as the best place to learn, work, and thrive.
  2. Leads and Ensures that all Operational standards and processes are achieved, ensuring operational efficiency, consistency & excellence are achieved.
  3. Provide elevated client care and services to ensure highest value to clients.
  4. Develop a strategy to Deliver and drive Results on the identified project performance goals and conditions of satisfaction.
  5. Drive Innovation, Continuous Improvement, and a Lean Culture through best practices, training and development of all staff members.
  6. Responsible for all aspects of project start up, including but not limited to, finalizing Prime Contract, conducting project startup meetings and prepare project execution plan, resource and staffing plans, and procurement management.
  7. Working with the Estimating and Business Development teams to pursue and secure work.
  8. Responsible for all aspects of financial management strategy.
  9. Management of Safety, Quality Control and Communications plan.
  10. Create and manage schedule.
  11. Chair meetings, issue minutes and follow up on action items.
  12. Track productivity and performance of the project.
  13. Manage stakeholder expectations.
  14. Responsible for all aspects of project close out including training, inspections, turn over and warranty.
  15. Supporting business development activities by maintaining long lasting relationships with clients, the design community, engineers and other organizations which enhance future business development opportunities.
  16. Responsible for Coaching, mentoring, and developing a diverse team and ensuring Clark Builders is creating growth opportunities to achieve both individual and corporate goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors' degree, diploma or 2-year certificate in a construction related discipline.
  2. 10+ years’ experience working as a Project Manager, managing the construction of Commercial, Industrial, or Institutional buildings.
  3. Experience with various types of construction contracts.
  4. Experience managing the entire construction process from startup to closeout on a variety of project sizes and complexities.
  5. Understanding the principles of Lean thinking, collaborative planning, and continuous improvement.
  6. Experience with Last Planner System an asset.
  7. Experience with Procore Construction Management Software an asset.
