Role : Regional Sales Director – (Client Account Lead ) - Banking Domain

About the Position

The Client Account Lead role is focused on managing and expanding client relationships within the Banking and Financial Services (BFS) domain. This position requires a high-energy individual to oversee a large portfolio with significant growth potential, driving cross-sell and upsell opportunities while ensuring client delivery assurance. The role involves strategic planning, governance, and collaboration with various internal teams to meet client needs and achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

Manage and grow relationships for a large portfolio in a high-growth banking account.

Expand services and build a diverse portfolio through strategic opportunity management.

Own the strategic agenda for the portfolio and establish executive-level connections between banking clients and HCLTech executives.

Understand banking industry trends, regulatory changes, and establish engaging dialogues with key client stakeholders.

Drive thought leadership by addressing banking sector challenges through collaboration with internal solution teams.

Implement and oversee multi-layered governance frameworks for the portfolio to ensure compliance and performance optimization.

Develop and manage a data-driven performance scorecard to measure and enhance portfolio outcomes.

Create and execute a strategic roadmap to drive account growth and incremental revenue within banking engagements.

Collaborate with horizontal and solution teams to identify improvement areas and offer cross-business unit solutions for banking clients.

Lead CXO-level engagements and communications to enhance client relationships and business opportunities.

Requirements

11-15 years of experience in account management within the Banking and Financial Services (BFS) domain.

Proven experience in selling IT Infrastructure, Application Development, Data, Digital and Analytics, Cloud, and BPO services tailored for banking institutions.

Strong client relationship management and business development skills within the banking sector.

Deep understanding of industry trends, regulatory landscapes, and client purchasing behavior in banking.

Experience in managing internal stakeholders across delivery, compliance, and recruitment to ensure seamless service execution.

Familiarity with emerging banking technologies such as AI-driven automation, Open Banking APIs, and cybersecurity solutions.
