Your Contribution

As a Field Technician, you will work in collaboration with the Materials team. Your main responsibilities will be:

  1. Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules
  2. Inspect the quality of construction and construction materials (soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, sealant, and membrane)
  3. Monitor placement of various construction materials and workmanship
  4. Report any non-conformance concerns to the management
  5. Execute tests in the field or laboratory on construction materials to assess their quality
  6. Prepare and collect samples for laboratory testing
  7. Perform compaction testing by Nuclear Densometer
  8. Test plastic concrete on site and cast samples for lab testing
  9. Assist in conducting asphalt and concrete coring for thickness and material composition investigations
  10. Ensure accuracy of test data
  11. Write quality control inspection and test reports
  12. Maintain testing equipment in good condition
  13. Maintain calibration of equipment
Your Profile
  1. High School diploma
  2. College diploma in Civil Engineering (an asset)
  3. Interested in teamwork, autonomous, and organized
  4. Good physical condition (occasional heavy lifting may be required)
  5. Valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle which may be used to travel to and from site
  6. Available to work on different shifts and schedules
  7. Available to work on weekends on short notice
  8. Attention to detail and problem solving
  9. Ability to adapt to changing work conditions and schedules on short notice
  10. Ability to listen, learn, and apply as instructed by immediate supervisor
  11. Ability to use apps for inspection services
  12. Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety
