We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Accountant to join our dynamic team at the Administration Office in Red Deer. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial reporting, and a commitment to accuracy. Position: Accountant
Full-time: 40 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.
Availability: Weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare weekly sales reports and monthly reconciliations
  2. Complete and assist in period and year-end procedures
  3. Prepare pre-numbered inventory pages one week prior to period-end for those departments counting inventory
  4. Prepare and send the inventory packages to the departments on the Wednesday prior to period-end
  5. Ensure that all numbered inventory pages that were sent out are returned
  6. Extend inventory pages as necessary as well as keep the FCL reconciliation up to date
  7. Assist location managers with finance questions
  8. Be familiar with and adhere to Central Alberta Co-op policies and procedures
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications:
  1. Accounting diploma is required
  2. Experience in accounting is preferred
  3. Experience in customer service is preferred
  4. Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  5. Effective communication skills
  6. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
