About the role: WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join our team in Mississauga, Canada. The Warehouse Manager will lead a team of three supervisors and thirty employees at our new 70,000 sqft facility. The distribution center manages an inventory worth $5 million, aiming to deliver the best customer experience efficiently and effectively.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establish operational procedures for handling shipments, managing materials, and tracking inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
  • Achieve productivity targets.
  • Provide input for operational plans.
  • Identify financial resources and cost justifications.
  • Recommend process improvements and implement action plans.
  • Analyze departmental functions and communicate results.
  • Manage hourly associates' performance.
  • Make decisions based on business principles to achieve results.
  • Manage various shipping operations.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.

Knowledge/training:

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Oracle, Power BI, or similar software.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of managerial experience in warehousing or distribution management.
  • Proven track record in managing distribution facilities.
  • Experience in order picking, shipping, receiving, and product loading/unloading.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and warehouse best practices.
