CIMCO is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Shop Supervisor at our manufacturing facility in Burlington.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Supervise a team of 30+ workers in a variety of skilled trades in a manufacturing shop including welders, fitters, and wiring technicians.
  2. Monitor work progress and quality to ensure that projects are completed on time and to specifications.
  3. Develop and support timing parameters for various stages of production and schedule production accordingly.
  4. Ensure the shop remains accountable to its commitments and obligations to internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Solve and troubleshoot welding issues collaboratively with fitters and welders.
  6. Provide guidance and instruction to workers regarding safety procedures and equipment operation.
  7. Support the business in decisions related to quotations and bids on client projects.
  8. Maintain records of work performed, materials used, and safety incidents or violations.
  9. Support the hiring and training of new workers.
Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
  1. Past pipe and vessel experience is a strong asset.
  2. Familiar with and/or worked with TSSA.
  3. Experience working as a foreman, supervisor, or shop/fabrication manager.
  4. Ability to effectively manage, coach, and mentor a team of employees.
  5. Ability to perform hands-on training or coaching.
  6. Ability to problem solve, make decisions, plan, and organize jobs and tasks.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills.
  8. Strong organizational skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
  9. Good computer skills.
  10. Understanding of working within a unionized environment.
