Job Description:
Department Overview: TD Commercial Banking services the unique needs of Canadian businesses, customizing a broad range of products. As part of the Commercial Banking team, the Analyst Commercial Banking will provide credit writing support to a Relationship Manager who is the face of the Bank to our customers. The position reports to a Manager Commercial Credit who will coordinate workflow and provide coaching on credit structure, pricing, and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- The Analyst Commercial Banking works on a two-person team with a Relationship Manager, jointly managing a portfolio of approximately 60 mid-market accounts with a moderate to high level of complexity.
- Responsible for much of the credit writing for the team, structuring credits appropriately to meet customer needs and address perceived risk.
- Completes necessary due diligence and produces reviews and risk ratings that reflect knowledge of Bank policies and procedures.
- Pro-actively monitors trends and conditions of accounts and develops action plans for problem situations.
- Delivers consistent and timely service to customers and assists the Commercial Banking management team in resolving customer problems with an innovative approach.
Job Requirements:
In addition to your undergraduate degree in business or relevant professional designation, you ideally have 2-3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or Account Manager in a business or banking environment. Alternatively, you may have experience in another profession that supports the needs of business and are looking for an opportunity to add value from a different perspective. You have well-developed analytical and relationship management skills and look forward to developing them further in this role.
