About the role

We’re looking for a Manager, Treasury, to join our growing team

Summary of Responsibilities

The treasury manager will be responsible for overseeing group treasury management activities listed below. The candidate should be a strong team player, have the competencies to work independently in a fast-paced environment, possess strong communication skills, be able to challenge the status quo and work at improving current processes.

Core responsibilities Cash Management
  • Prepare the group’s consolidated cash flow forecasts; strong ability to liaise with different business lines to determine cash needs and availability.
  • Manage liquidity; oversee wire transfers, special transactions, foreign currency needs, intercompany loans etc.
  • Coordinate with the banking and AR/AP teams for various payment and bank account related undertakings.
  • Maintain, renew, modify letters of credit and credit facilities; monitor covenants, complete and file quarterly compliance reports.
Financing
  • Maintain a robust financing plan to account for liquidity needs and liability maturities.
  • Manage short term debt financing needs (commercial paper, credit facility, term loans etc.).
  • Support reporting and Investor Relations teams in public disclosures related to treasury items.
Bank relationships
  • Maintain relationships with syndicate banks.
  • Benchmark bank syndication performance.
  • Analyse new ideas and strategies proposed by banks.
Derivatives & other
  • Develop and maintain forecast by currency to mitigate against foreign currency exposure.
  • Monitor and prepare financial statement and board reports relating to currency exposure.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Administration or Accounting.

Skills required:
  • Strong Treasury experience (10yrs).
  • Strong knowledge of cash management activities.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting ratios.
  • Bilingual: French and English; for candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
