We are currently seeking an innovative, sales-driven, and relationship-building Manager of Business Development for the Ottawa and Gatineau Region. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the regional team to increase our parking facility portfolio and help create added value for existing and prospective clients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Implement and refine the corporate strategy to further develop Indigo’s market position by defining and building business relationships.
  2. Lead generation, cold-calling, networking, and new client relationship building.
  3. Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and industry standards, identifying strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  4. Facilitate local staff and assist in marketing campaigns.
  5. Communicate information to the leadership team regarding competitive landscape analysis, market trends, customer trends, service gaps, and areas for improvement.
  6. Participate in Requests for Proposals for parking management services.
  7. Communicate any pertinent information on sales methods, techniques, and tools.
  8. Attend and be responsible for preparation for relevant trade shows and exhibitions.
  9. Perform administrative duties, including but not limited to filing, generating reports, and maintaining business templates.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in business development or sales.
  2. 1 to 2 years of experience in the parking industry is an asset.
  3. Post-secondary education in business or marketing is an asset.
  4. Expertise in consultative selling with a focus on long-term relationship building.
  5. Strong skills in lead generation, cold-calling, and negotiation.
  6. Experience in regional management or multi-account management is an asset.
  7. Ability to develop and maintain interpersonal relationships with stakeholders.
  8. Must have a personal vehicle for regional travel.
  9. Ability to manage and maintain confidential information.
  10. Highly professional with strong attention to detail.
  11. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
