Baan Lao Fine Thai Cuisine is seeking a talented, personable, and intelligent 'Fine Dining' SERVER with MIXOLOGY experience. If you have strong confidence, attention to detail and thrive in a fine dining environment, we would like to hear from you.

You will be responsible for greeting and serving guests, crafting and serving a variety of high-quality cocktails and beverages to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for serving, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create unique and delicious drink recipes.

Job Requirements:
  1. Serve as a brand ambassador for Baan Lao, committed to providing an exceptional customer experience.
  2. Create a pleasant, welcoming, and respectful environment for all guests.
  3. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers and ensuring their satisfaction.
  4. Properly manage the flow of each meal for an optimum guest experience.
  5. Be extremely knowledgeable about every menu item and able to convey a meaningful description for all guest inquiries.
  6. Be comfortable and confident making food and drink recommendations to guests.
  7. Work diligently with our maître d’ and/or management team to immediately address all guest concerns.
  8. Accurately record and relay all food and drink orders.
  9. Set tables, adhering to brand standards.
  10. Support the service team and floor manager while on shift.
  11. Ensure the highest quality standards are met for service, cleanliness, and food presentation.
  12. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  13. Coordinate with chefs and bartenders, providing clarification when needed.
  14. Collaborate with the kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders.
  15. Must be able to tend bar and mix cocktails.
  16. Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  17. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
  18. Create unique and innovative drink recipes that meet customer preferences.
  19. Adhere to all safety and health regulations.
  20. Comply with all federal, provincial and municipal laws.
  21. Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma is required.
  2. 2+ years of server experience in a fine dining establishment.
  3. Minimum 1 year experience as a Mixologist in a restaurant or bar setting and certificate/diploma in Mixology.
  4. Previous Thai food restaurant experience is preferred.
  5. Understanding of FoodSafe and liquor law regulations.
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  7. Able to function within, and contribute to, a team environment.
  8. Detail-oriented.
  9. Excellent communication skills.
  10. Excellent memory for names and faces.
  11. Exceptional customer service, good interpersonal skills, and communication.
  12. Experience with a restaurant POS software platform.
  13. Extensive knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, and mixology techniques.
  14. Familiarity with POS systems for order processing.
  15. Formal training in Hospitality is an asset.
  16. Keen interest and knowledge of wine and/or tea an asset.
  17. Math skills for measuring ingredients and handling cash transactions.
  18. Must have legible handwriting.
  19. Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  20. Passionate about creating a positive environment for guests and staff.
  21. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with diverse clientele.
  22. Time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
