A global manufacturer of advanced sound reinforcement systems is seeking to appoint an accomplished and technically confident senior leader to manage and expand global distribution while driving all sales and business development activities.


In this pivotal leadership position, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our client’s global distribution network, driving sustainable market growth by cultivating and maintaining these relationships. In addition, you will also oversee the sales and business development functions, with a focus on driving adoption with consultants, integrators, venues, rental and production companies. Leading a team of sales professionals and distribution partners across multiple regions, you will ensure that sales strategies align with the company’s short-, medium- and long-term goals.


Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives and working closely with internal teams to ensure there is effective collaboration between sales, marketing, application engineering and technical support, research & development and manufacturing departments. This role requires a good level of technical pro audio product knowledge, paired with a hands-on approach to managing all commercial interactions and relationships. The role requires at least some regular on-site attendance at the company’s headquarters in Western Canada and for you to be able and willing to travel regularly throughout North America and internationally.


About You


You are an autonomous yet collaborative sales and business development manager with deep expertise in and passion for the premium pro audio products and solutions used within the touring and fixed installation sectors. Ideally, you will have already led teams in a growth-oriented and international business where you successfully expanded market presence and strengthened distribution channels. You excel in building commercial relationships and driving sales, leveraging an already established network in the pro audio industry to ensure lasting mutually beneficial and profitable business collaborations.


The successful candidate will likely have an entrepreneurial mindset, and will thrive in dynamic, early stage evolving business environments that require an all ‘hands’ and proactive approach. You will have a good balance of technical product understanding and commercial savvy. You will be a confident and clear communicator, equally comfortable working this technicians and C level owners. You are comfortable working autonomously, making strategic decisions, and executing with minimal oversight, while still fostering collaboration across geographically dispersed teams. Willingness to travel and be on-site in Western Canada regularly are essential.
