Infotek Consulting is searching for a Finance Analyst with strong forecasting experience. This is a hybrid contract based in Toronto



  • Key for the role is to assist with the forecasting of 2025 budget and cost allocation across the enterprise – this wider team is responsible for ensuring that forecasts and budgets and cost allocation are performed and are accurate (how budgets are determined and allocated to each individual team)
  • This team itself is not determining the budgets or cost allocations, but is instead going to perform financial forecasting and analysis to determine what sort of KPIs are necessary to attain the necessary cost to performance ratio; as well as extrapolating how “performant” or “efficient” a team is (how much they produce per dollar of spend)
  • Will be developing and testing financial models used for forecasting and cost allocation – these models can be quite complex as they will factor in different tools and technologies leveraged by different teams and how those can impact performance
  • Current step is financial planning – initial plans need to be ready by end of June; and final forecasts/replans submitted in June,
  • They will also be creating typical reports (monthly, quarterly, yearly etc…) – and comparing them to the predicted forecasts/allocations and calculating variance.
  • Need to have strong people skills as well – should be able to speak to the business and present the variance and be able to have “difficult” conversations regarding cost, burn rates and performance
  • will primarily be working with Excel/VBA and, IBM TM1, Cognos and EPM software.


Must Have:

  • 2-3+ years of financial forecasting/analysis experience specifically within either Performance Management or Cost Allocation (ideally both as the two are intertwined)
  • Strong analysis and modeling skills, will primarily be working with Excel/VBA
  • EPM application experience
  • Data visualization and reporting skills – team is using Cognos BI

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of TM1 – this is a part of IBM Planning Analytics platform
  • Experience with Tableau
  • FI/Banking experience
