Position Description

E360S is looking for a Vice President of Operations to support our Solid Waste Line of Business in British Columbia. This role will be based out of our Kelowna, BC location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Oversee and drive the strategic direction for solid waste management across Western Canada, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead day-to-day operations across multiple sites, optimizing efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • P&L Management: Own the profitability of the region, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Champion sustainability programs and innovation within solid waste practices to drive environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and empower a diverse team of operations managers, engineers, and technical staff. Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Client Relations: Cultivate relationships with municipal, commercial, and industrial clients. Serve as a trusted advisor to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Hands-On Leadership: Be prepared to roll up your sleeves, take a proactive approach, and manage the fast-paced and high-pressure environment of a growing, acquisitions-based company. Lead by example with tenacity and resilience in challenging situations.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in solid waste management, environmental services, or a related industry.
  • Strong leadership background with a track record of managing large teams and multi-site operations.
  • Exceptional business acumen with experience in P&L management and strategic planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of waste management regulations, sustainability practices, and industry best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel across the region and work with diverse communities and client groups.
