  • Collaborate with leasing teams, General Managers, and tenants to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Prepare financial statements and manage interactions with external auditors.
  • Handle CAMRACS and understand strata residential towers with shared costs between strata and rentals.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met, maintaining strict adherence to review times.
  • Analyze budgets, understand discrepancies, and be comfortable asking questions to clarify issues.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide training and support to accounting staff to ensure continuous professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field, CPA designation
  • Extensive experience in commercial real estate accounting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and manage review processes effectively.
  • Proficient in preparing financial statements and handling external audits.
  • Comfortable with budgeting and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
