Looking for a dynamic Assistant Buyer

Do you have a talent for spotting bargains and a keen eye for market trends? Then join our customer as an Assistant Buyer You'll work closely with our Senior Buyer to develop and optimize product categories. Here's an opportunity to thrive in a varied and stimulating role, while contributing to the success of our company.

Your tasks, if you accept them :

Explore new trends: Identify market opportunities and new items with our key suppliers.
Analyze and improve: Evaluate and maintain cost accuracy of product categories, while improving offers.
Study the competition: Meet with competing retailers to identify the best pricing and product opportunities.
Find rare gems: Attend trade shows in Asia to discover new suppliers.
Manage relationships: Understand suppliers' strengths and weaknesses to minimize risk.
Guarantee quality: Supervise samples to ensure quality of goods before approval.
Follow up: Assist in the completion and follow-up of purchase orders.
Participate actively: Attend buyer meetings, seasonal presentations, and accompany senior buyer on trips, if necessary.

Diploma, DEC or AEC in purchasing, supply chain, or relevant field;
Two (2) to five (5) years' experience in purchasing in the retail or import sector;
Good analytical and problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail;
Good decision-making skills and the ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple competing priorities;
The ability to work in a dynamic, high-volume environment;
Good communication and collaboration skills and the ability to build working relationships; and
Flexible and willing to travel when necessary.
