We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper for an immediate 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension to full-time contract.

The role can be remote, hybrid, or in person, depending on the candidate’s experience.

The qualified candidate must have Ontario Bookkeeping experience and be able to work unsupervised, meet very tight deadlines, and perform full cycle bookkeeping duties.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a bookkeeper in Ontario Canada (candidates will not be considered without this, regardless of other experience)
  • Experience with Quickbooks, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite is essential
  • Must have a strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise diplomacy and discretion
  • Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy without supervision
  • Ability to work under tight timelines and deliver the highest standard of work with very tight timeframes
  • Fluent English spoken and written required

Responsibilities for 6-month contract:

  • Perform full cycle bookkeeping
  • Accounts payable/Accounts receivable
  • GST/HST/various CRA payments and installments
  • Assist Financial Controller to complete corporate year-end statements
  • Various financial tasks as required by the Financial Controller

Salary: To be discussed based on experience within an Ontario registered company as a Bookkeeper
